A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING POLICY CRITERIA FOR REMOVAL OF LANDS FROM WITHIN
THE AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 364:9
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Redlands hereby finds and determines that the
following conditions shall be found to exist prior to any
consideration for removal of land from the Agricultural
Preserve:
1 . Applicant shall be the legal owner of record.
2. Land requested to be removed from the Preserve must
abut a developed zone other than agricultural. The
term developed includes a recorded tract map or
parcel map or a finalized application for
Commission Review and Approval or Conditional Use
Permit as defined in Ordinance No. 1000, as
amended. Land requested to be removed from the
preserve must abut a developed zone on one of the
two sides closest to downtown Redlands (City Hall)
unless there is an overriding public concern that
requires development to occur on the periphery of
the City.
3 . Application is in conformity with the Redlands '
General Plan.
4 . Land requested to be removed from the Preserve
shall not circumvent land under contract in
accordance with the California Land Conservation
Act of 1965.
5 . The owner agrees that where development adjoins
contract land the owner of the removed land shall
provide fencing as necessary to mitigate the impact
of urban development on continued agricultural use.
