A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS SIGNI-
FYING ITS AWARENESS OF CERTAIN NEEDS
WHEREAS, there is a need for a NORTHSIDE COMMUNITY CENTER7
and
WHEREAS, the City is pursuing the possibility of federal
funding for this project on a three-fourths to one-fourth basis;
and
WHEREAS, it has been made evident that there are organizations
and individuals within our City wishing to raise and contribute
money toward a NORTHSIDE COMMUNITY CENTER, and
WHEREAS, said money would be deposited in a mutually agree-
able depository, and for each dollar so raised and deposited, the
City would match on a dollar-for-dollar basis to a maximum of
$20, 000, and
WHEREAS, this resolution is to be adopted in the spirit of a
challenge to organizations and individuals to raise funds to build
a NORTHSIDE COMMUNITY CENTER;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Redlands would
reserve for a period of five (5) years $20,000 for the purpose of
matching funds raised by organizations and individuals for- a NORTH-
SIDE COMMUNITY CENTER; if they are not so matched within such time,
the City ' s obligation shall terminate.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the City Council of the City of Redlands at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 2nd day of May, 1972, by the following vote:
