HomeMy WebLinkAbout1057_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 1057 RESOLUTION FINDING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND CONVENIENCE REQUIRES THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO DISPOSE OF PROPERTY IT OWNS BY SALE, THAT THE PROPERTY IS NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES, AND THAT PLACING ALL MONEY RECEIVED FROM THE SALE IN THE CAPITAL OUTLAY FUND IS FOR THE COMMON BENEFIT. The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: Pursuant to the statutory authority conferred upon cities to dispose of public property in the common interest, the City Council hereby authorizes and approves the sale of the property owned by the City of Redlands in the County of pan Bernardino, State of California, described in Paragraph I of the judgment in she case of City of Redlands vs. Leigh W. Nickerson, et aI, S,z�?or Court No. 88703, and subject to the easements described in the judgment. A copy of the judgment is marked Exhibit A and attached hereto and made a part of this resolution as though set out entirely herein. SECTION TWO: The City Council finds and determines that the public pro- perty, as described in Paragraph I of the aforementioned Judgment, is no longer necessary for public use, and that its disposal and the use of the amount re- ceived from its sale for capital improvements of the city is in the common interest,. SECTION THREE: The City Council directs that the amount paid to the City as consideration for the purchase of the property shall be placed in the Capital Outlay Fund provided by the City for the expenditure of public monies for the acquisition and improvement of lands, buildings, and equipment for public works, parks and recreation, and other projects which promote the public health, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: The City Council approves the sale of the property as a.es- cribed in Paragraph I of the aforementioned Judgment to H. A. Jackson for and in consideration of the payment of 35 ,91;0, and agrees to convey title by deed upon the payment of said amount, The City Manager is authorized to execute the deed conveying the property as herein provided, and all the acts of said officer in the sale of the property and the execution of the necessary convey- ance to 'r`.:.
