A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING "SEWER CONSTRUCTION CHARGES" OF THE SEWER
SECTION OF THE UTILITIES DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT AND RESCINDING SECTION 1111 3. OF RESOLUTION
NO. 2912 AND ANY OTHER RESOLUTIONS THAT MAY BE IN CONFLICT
WITH THIS RESOLUTION.
The City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby resolve,
determine and order as follows:
Section I . That effective August 1 , 1977, every person who
applies for a building permit for any dwelling or structure
which contains plumbing fixtures or applies for a plumbing
oermit for installation of a "building sewer" or plumbing
fixture shall pay into the Sewer Rental Fund, the following
charges:
A . Within City:
1. For each single family dwelling, Five Hundred and
Ten Dollars ($510.00) .
2 . For each multiple dwelling unit, Three Hundred and
Forty Dollars ($340.00) for each dwelling unit
therein.
3. For each mobile home space, Three Hundred and
. Forty Dollars ($340.00) .
4. For all other developments , Twenty-Two Dollars
($22.'b0) :!per plumbing fixture unit as said units
are d'efined in Chapter 4, Tables 4-1 and 4-2 of
of the Uniform Plumbing Code..
B. Outside of City:
1. For each single family dwelling, one Thousand and
Twenty Dollars ($1020.00) .
2. For each multiple unit, Six Hundred and Eighty
Dollars ($580.00) .
3. For each mobile home space, Six Hundred and Eighty
Dollars '($680.00) .
4. For all other developments , Forty-Four Dollars
($44.00) per plumbing fixture unit as aforementioned.
Section II . Where a structure is constructed on a parcel of
ground which formerly contained a structure which had
been connected to the City of Redlands sewerage system,
a credit toward the above charge shall be allowed as
determined by the Administrative Authority, but shall in
no case exceed Five Hundred and Ten Dollars ($510. 00) .
Section Ill. Unless charges established by this Resolution are
paid, no permit shall be issued for construction within
the City of Redlands and no sewer service provided outside
the City of Redlands .
Section Til . All funds and ironies received from the collection
of charges as herein established shall be in the custody
of the City Treasurer, who shall deposit such funds in a
separate revenue account to be known as "Sewer Construction
Charges" within. the Sewer Rental Fund. Funds and earnings
from this account shall be used only for the acquisition,
management , operation., maintenance and reconstruction of
sanitary or sewerage facilities ; provided, however, that
such revenue shall not be used for the acquisition or
construction of new local street sewers or Laterals as
distinguished from main trunk, interceptor and outfall
sewers .
