A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS, COUNTY OF SAN
BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, OF
PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF ANNUAL REPORT
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1993-94 FOR PARKING AND
BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA B
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of December, 1975, said City Council did adopt its
Ordinance No. 1570 establishing Parking and Business Improvement Area B; and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of March, 1984, said City Council did adopt its Ordinance
No. 1838 establishing a Business Improvement District Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, Section 36533 of the Streets and Highways Code, State of California,
requires said Advisory Board to cause to be prepared a report for each fiscal year for which
assessments are to be levied and collected to pay the costs of the improvements and
activities described in the report; and
WHEREAS, said Advisory Board has made and filed with the City Clerk of said City a
report in writing as called for in said Section, which report has been presented to this
Council for consideration; and
WHEREAS, said Council has duly considered said report and each and every part
thereof, and finds that each and every part of said report is sufficient, and that said report,
nor any part thereof, requires or should be modified in any respect;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordered as follows:
1. That the Board's Estimate of the costs and expenses of said improvements
and activities contained in said report be, and each of them are hereby,
preliminarily approved and confirmed.
2. That the map showing the Assessment District referred to and described in
said report, the boundaries of said Assessment District are the same as
existed at the time of passage of said Ordinance, are hereby preliminarily
approved and confirmed.
3. That the proposed assessment upon businesses within each Zone of Benefit
within the Assessment District is in proportion to the estimated benefit to be
received by said businesses, respectively,from said improvements and
activities and of the expenses thereof, as contained in said report is hereby
preliminarily approved and confirmed.
4. That said report shall stand as the Annual Report for the purposes of all
subsequent proceedings, and pursuant to the proposed district.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of May, 1993.
