A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS SETTING THE SPECIAL TAX FOR
EMERGENCY PARAMEDIC SERVICE
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1900 permits the levy of a special tax by the City of
Redlands on each improved parcel of property,each residential unit in a multiple dwelling, or each
mobile home site in the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1900 further empowers the City Council to establish,
by Resolution, the rate of special tax to fund anticipated expenses in an effort to provide an adequate
level of paramedic service, but in no event shall the special Tax exceed the maximum allowable
limits as set forth in Ordinance No. 1900;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
does hereby resolve that the rate of the special tax for emergency paramedic service shall be as
follows for the fiscal year 1996-97 only:
Multi-family and Mobile Home Units $ 29.70
Single Family (Including condominiums) $ 39.70
Commercial and Industrial:
0 - 4,999 sq.ft. $ 39.70
5,000 - 9,999 sq.ft. 79.45
10,000 - 19,999 sq.ft. 119.20
20,000 - 39,000 sq.ft. 158.95
Greater than 39,999 sq.ft. - $158.95 plus $39.70 for each 20,000 sq.ft. Increment of
floor area, or portion thereof, in excess of 39,999 sq.ft.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 18th day of June, 1996.
