A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING LIMITS UPON PARKING IN THE COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT AND MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as
follows :
SECTION ONE: That Resolution No. 3550 is hereby adopted
to read as follows :
1. DUTY OF ENFORCEMENT. It shall be the duty of the
Chief of Police to enforce the provisions of this resolution.
He shall effect enforcement by employing City employees classi-
fied as Parking Control Officers for such purpose.
2. TRAFFIC ENGINEER. Whenever, by this resolution or any
other resolution of this City, any parking time limit is imposed
on designated streets, it shall be the duty of the City Traffic
Engineer to place appropriate signs or markings giving notice
thereof, and no such regulations shall be effective unless signs
or markings are installed and in place at the time of any alleged
offense.
3. SIGNS . When signs are erected giving notice thereof,
no person shall park a vehicle for longer than the specified time
between the hours of 8 : 00 A.M. and 6 : 00 P.M. , except Sundays and
holidays , upon any street in the commercial district.
4 . PARKING LOTS. The specified limit for parking in a
municipal parking lot shall be three (3) hours.
5. COMMERCIAL DISTRICT. The specified limit for parking on
a public street in the commercial district shall be two (2) hours.

City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of
December, 1978 , by the following vote:
