A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING PARKING RESTRICTIONS WITHIN THE DOWNTOWN REDLANDS
BUSINESS ASSOCIATION BOUNDARIES.
WHEREAS,the City Council supports the operation of Parking and Business Improvement Area B,
commonly referred to as the Downtown Redlands Business Association (DRBA); and
WHEREAS, the DRBA is bounded by Redlands Boulevard to the north,Ninth Street to the east,
Citrus Avenue to the south and Orange Street to the west; and
WHEREAS, the DRBA holds Market Night every Thursday evening from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the DRBA sponsors parades, festivals and other special events;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to Redlands Municipal Code Chapters 8.64 and 12.40 City Council may
close streets and public areas for the purpose of holding parades, festivals and other special events.
Section 2. Streets within the DRBA boundaries may be closed for the purpose of holding Market
Night,parades, festivals and other special events.
Section 3. Parking restrictions as posted for the purpose of holding Market Night, parades,
festivals and other special events shall be fully enforced.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of November, 1999.
