A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS RESCINDING PARAGRAPH "A"
SECTION 8, RULE 10, OF RESOLUTION NO, 2032 ENTITLED "PEASON-NEL
RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF REDLLNDS AND ADDING A NEW
SECTION 8 AND ADDING ONE ADDITIONAL PARAGRAPH UNDER SECTION I
OF RULE 10,
WHEREAS the City Council is authorized and directed
under the provisions of Ordinance No, 1089 to adopt rules and
reaulations for the administration of the personnel $ stem,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED�
THAT the City Council of the, 0-ty of Redlands does
hereby rescind Paragraph "A" Section 8 of the Personnel Rules
and Regulations and that the following -insertion shall be made
a permanent part of Resolution No. 2032,
THAT Section 8, Paragraph "A" , entitled "Holidays"
shall read as follovvs .:
The City of Redlands observes ten (10) holidays. New
Year' s Day, Lincoln's Birthday, Washingfon* s Birthday, Memorial
Day., Independence Day, Labor Day., Admission Day, Armistice Day.,
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day- Employees expressing the
desire to attend religious services on Good Friday shall be
riven time off. In no case shall this be Lnore than two (2)
hours. If New Year' s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor
Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day occurs on Sunday, the
f0110winf-Y Monday is observed. If Lincoln ' s Birthdayx Washington' s
Birthday� Admission Day or Armistice Day occurs on Sunday, the
following Monday is not observed, All emPlOYees will receive equal

number of holidays as those employees employed In the City Hall on
a forty (40) hour week,
If the holiday falls on Saturday it is lost.
THAT a paragraph shall be added to Section I of Ljule 10
to read as follows ,-.
Each employee Of the City of Redlands with eleven
full years of continuous service accrued or, or before the start of
a fiscal year (July 1) shall receive an additional day vacation.
Each full year over and above ten (10) shall receive an additional
day vacation to a maximum of fifteen (15) working days vacation per
year,
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this day of 1961,
