The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows;
SECTION ONE: The City Coua eil of the City of Redlands having eleeted
to proceed under provisions of Division 5, Part 1, Chapter 2 of the Streets
and Uighwayc Code of the State of California, and having held a public hear—
ing 'as provided therein, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that
the portion of the street deeeribed in this resolution is uneecessary for
present or prospective public street eurposee and that the public interest
and convenience requires the closing of said street.
SECTION fa: This City Council hereby orders the vacation of a portion
of Sunset Drive deoeribed as fellers:
All that portion of 50 foot wide Sunset Drive lying in the South—
west Quarter of the So ithwest Quarter of Section 30, Township 1
South, Range 3 West., San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the City
of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, de—
scribed as follow s
COMMENCING at the intersection of the centerline of said Suns t
Drive and the West line of said Seathwest Quarter of Section 36;
thence South 0° 03' 08" Last 25.50 feet to a point on the South—
erly line of said Sunset Drive; thence along said lino South 78°
41' East 118.14 feet; thence South 45° 36' East 275.01 feet; thence
North 08° 23' East 101.95 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence from the true point of
BEGINNING, leaving said Southerly line North 19° 29' 30" East 4.51
feet; thence Nerth 70° 30' 30" West 01.84 feet; thence North 56°
56' [Wet 7,28 feet to a point on the Northerly line of said Sunset

SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by the City Council
for the vacation of a portion Sunset Drive, the City of Redlands reserves
and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time,
or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and
renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon,
over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pur-,
suant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of
pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures,
equipment and fixtures for the operation of ,;as pipe lines, telegraphic
and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the traasportation or distri-
bution of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water, and
incidental purposes; including access and the right to keep the property
free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and otherwise protect the
same from all hazards in, upon and ever the street or part thereof proposed
to be vacated.
