A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FOR
ADOPTION OF PRECISE STREET', PLAN' NO 14
WHEREASthe Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has
prepared an amendment to the Precise Street Plan and adopted such
amendment in Resolution No . 224 after holding a public hearing
upon notice in accordance with the Government Code of the State
of California ; and
WHEREAS Resolution No . 224, a copy of which is attached hereto ,
has been certified to the City Council of the City of Redlands ; and
WHEREAS on the 22 day of June , 1964, notice of Public
Hearing was published in the Redlands Daily Facts ; and
WHEREAS on this 7th day of July , 1964, the City Council
has held a duly advertised public hearing concerned with the proposed
amendment to said Precise Street Plan ; and
WHEREAS all of the provisions of the Government Code relating
to the amendment of a precise plan have been complied with
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Redlands ;
That amendment to the Precise Street Plan adopted by the Plan-
ning Commission in Resolution No ® 224 shall be adopted as follows :
PRECISE STREET PLAN NO . 4
1. That it is deemed advisable and in the interest of public
health, safety and general welfare to realign, dedicate ,
vacate , provide a pedestrian mall and a pedestrian easement
in the area bounded by Orange/Cajon Streets , Citrus Avenue
Fifth Street and Vine Street as recommended from studies
performed by the Department of Public Works , Planning
Department and Victor Gruen Associates .
2 . Precise Street Plan is as follows :
at Provides for the realignment of Orange Street into
Cajon Street to improve traffic flow.
b. Provides for a pedestrian easement from Orange/Cajon
streets to Fifth Street
C . Provides for a pedestrian mall and alley extension along
Fifth Street between Citrus Avenue and Vine Street.
d. Provides for future designation of Vine Street as a
secondary highway.
