A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DETERMINING THAT THE PLANNING AND GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES
APPROPRIATED FROM THE LOW AND MODERATE INCOME HOUSING FUND
DURING FISCAL YEAR 2010-11 ARE NECESSARY"FOR THE PRODUCTION,
IMPROVEMENT OR PRESERVATION OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands (the "City Council") has adopted
Ordinance No. 1500 on September 26, 1972, approving and adopting the Redevelopment Plan
(the "Redevelopment Plan") for the Redevelopment Project, and Ordinance No. 2703 on July 15,
2008, approving and adopting the North Redlands Redevelopment Project("NRRP"); and
WHEREAS,the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands(the"Agency") is designated
as the official redevelopment agency of the City of Redlands to carry out the functions and
requirements of the California. Community Redevelopment Law (Health: and Safety Code
Section 33040 et seq. ("CRL,")) and to implement the Redevelopment Plan and the N ; and
WHEREAS, Sections 33334.2 and 33334.3 of the CRL require the Agency to deposit not less
than twenty percent (20%) of the tax increment revenues allocated to the Agency into a separate
Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund (the "Housing Fund") to be used for the purposes of
increasing, improving and preserving the community's supply of housing available to and
occupied by persons and families of love and moderate income; and
WHEREAS, if moneys from the Housing Fund are used to pay planning and general
administrative expenses, Section 33334.3 of the CRL requires that the Agency annually
determine that the planning and general administrative expenses are necessary for the
production, improvement or preservation of low and moderate income housing; and
WHEREAS, for Fiscal Year 2010-11, the Agency budgeted $601,563 from the Housing Fund
to pay certain planning and general administrative expenses;
NOW THEREFORE,the Board of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands does
hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The Agency hereby finds and determines that the planning and general
administrative expenses budgeted from the Housing Fund for Fiscal year 2010-11 in the amount
of$601,563 are necessary for the production, improvement or preservation of low and moderate
income housing.
