A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DECLARING THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IS SURPLUS AND IS NOT
REQUIRED FOR PUBLIC USE AND ORDERING THE SALE OF SAID
PROPERTY
The City Council of the City of Redlands does resolve as
follows:
SECTION ONE: A portion of the subject property was
purchased with Gas Tax funds to provide right-of-way for the
realignment of Fifth Avenue and Fairview Lane. The surplus
property is the remnant and a portion of old Fifth Avenue.
The subject property is now deemed surplus to the needs of
the City of Redlands, and said property is more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" attached thereto.
SECTION TWO: The City Council of the City of Redlands
hereby finds and determines that certain property owned by
the City is surplus, that it is not necessary for present or
prospective public purposes, and that its sale would be for
the common benefit.
SECTION THREE: That the City manager of the City of
Redlands be authorized to negotiate the sale of the property
after following all mandated legal procedures.
SECTION FOUR: That the Mayor and the City Clerk of the
City of Redlands, upon completion of the sale, be authorized
to execute a grant deed on behalf of the City of Redlands for
sale of said property.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 4th day of February,
1986.

A portion of Fifth Avenue as vacated per Resolution No . 4135
recorded in Doc . No . 86 -006932 of records of County of San
Bernardino , State of California, and
A portion of Sub Lot 9 of Lots 9 and 10 of Map of East Redlands
as recorded in Book 7 of Maps , Page 47 in the office of the
County Recorder , County of San Bernardino , State of California ,
described as follows
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Section 25 , T. 1 S . , R. 3 W;
thence North 89° 49 ' S2" East , 441 . 82 feet ; thence North 14° 08 '
45" East along the centerline of the Bear Valley Canal , 41 . 28
feet ; thence continuing Forth 14 " 08 ' 45" East along said centerline
of Bear Valley Canal , 94 . 63 feet to the True Point of Beginning ,
last said point also being the beginning of a tangent curve concave
to the Southeast and having a radius of 60 . 00 feet ; thence North-
easterly along said curve and along said centerline of Bear Valley
Canal , 38 . 14 feet and through a central angle of 36° 25 ' 30" to a
point of tangency; thence continuing along said centerline of Bear
Valley Canal North 50° 34 ' 30" East , 8 . 10 feet to its intersection
with the Southwesterly right-of-way line of Fifth Avenue as it now
exists ; thence South 39° 25 " 30" East along last said line , 16 . 36
feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northeasterly and
having a radius of 544 . 00 feet ; thence Southeasterly along last said
curve through a central angle of 18° 28 ' 45" ; and arc distance of
175 . 45 feet ; thence South 89° 49 ' 52" West , 191 . 01 feet to the True
Point of Beginning.
