DESCRIPTIVE TITLE OF APPLICANT'S PROJECT (as shown on page one of the executed federal grant and in the adopted Capital Improvement Plan): Resurface Runway 08126 (4,505' x 75`) This grant will cover the rehabilitation of runway 08126 (PCI 73) and West Apron (PCI 43) to improve the pavement for the same class aircraft. This includes sealing of cracks in the pavement, putting a protective slurry over the entire runway & apron area, and the restriping of runway & apron markings. Copy of Notice of Exemption or provide the Categorical Exemption Class # 15301 (CEQA Guidelines Sections 15300-15333). 2. Therefore, no further federal environmental disclosure documentation for this project is necessary for NEPA purposes. In the event that you do not begin the above identified projects within 3 years, of this Categorical Exclusion Approval, additional environmental review may be necessary (See Section 202(c)(3)(a) of FAA Order 5050AB, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Implementing Instructions. for Airport Actions). Sincerely, �ig.ed by GAIL MARIE MA�RIEyCAMPOS GAIL CAMPOS 14:6245-Q7' '$ Gail Campos Environmental Protection Specialist RESOLUTION NO. 8197 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DESIGNATING AUTHORIZED CITY REPRESENTATIVES TO APPLY FOR STATE OF CALIFORNIA AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT GRANTS WHEREAS, discretionary and entitlement grant funding is available for the City of Redlands' ("City") Municipal Airport to fund on -going capital improvements proposed in accordance with the City's Airport Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the City is presently engaged in the pursuit of Federal Aviation Administration ("FAA") Airport Improvement Program ("ALP") grant funding for years 2021, 2022, and 2023 to update the Airport Layout Plan with Narrative, produce a Wildlife Hazard Assessment, and Wildlife Hazard Management Plan for the Redlands Municipal Airport ("Airport"); and WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation, pursuant to the Public Utilities Code section 21683.1, provides five percent (5%) of its available grants to airports; and WHEREAS, the City is required to formally designate City representatives who shall be authorized to execute grant -related documents in accordance with State assistance and grant funding guidelines; and WHEREAS, the successful implementation of grant funded projects will not only provide immediate benefit to the airport users, but will also enhance the viability of the Airport as an asset to the City and the community; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of Redlands, and any member of the Redlands City Council, is authorized to apply for, accept, and execute in the name of the City of Redlands all applications, contracts, agreements and amendments for the purpose of securing grant funds for improvements to be funded by the California Department of Transportation at the Redlands Municipal Airport; and the City Manager, and the City Manager's designee, is authorized to review, prepare, and approve in the name of the City of Redlands all necessary payment requests, progress reports and final reports to implement and carry out the purposes specified for such grants.
