REDLANDS ELECTS TO AVAIL ITSELF OF TEE PRIVILEGE OP LEVYING AN1 COLLECTING TAXES UNDER THE PROVISIONS OP ARTICLE 4 OF CHAPTER 1 OP DIVISION 4 UNDER TITLE 4 OF THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE. THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOS: SECTION ONE: The, City of Redlands hereby elects to avail itself of the privilea-e under those sections of the California Government Code set forth in Article 4 of Chapter 1 of Division 4 of Title 4 ofsaid Code, said provision setting forth the alternative method for the levy and collection of City taxes wherein and whereby the same are levied and collected by the County of San Bernardino; and:until further order the assessment of taxable property within the said City, and the levy and collection of tares for the revenue for carrying on the various depart- ments of said City, and to pay the bonded and other indebtedness, shall be assessed, levied and collected as in said Act is consistent with the px'ovision of the General Laws of said State. SEOTTON TWO: The County Auditor, pursuant to said Government Code, is hereby requested, pursuant to Section 43093 of said Government Code, to transmit td the legislative body of the City of Redlands a written statement showing the total value of all property within said City, and all property subsequently annexed thereto, as described in Ordinances of said City covering Annexation District Nos. 1 to 4, in- clusive. SECTION THREE: Upon the adoption of this Ordinance, the City Clerk shall file a certified copy thereof with the Auditor of the County of San Bernardino. SECTION FOUR: It is hereby found and determined and declared that this ordinance is urgently required for the peace, health and safety, and without which ordinance there will be no revenue or funds to defray the expenses of said City, and this ordinance will take effect andbe in force immediately after its passage and approval.
