AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING THE
PARKING OF ANY VEHICLE ON A PORTION OF BROOKSIDE AVENUE.
The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as
follows:
SECTION ONE: That public convenience and necessity re-
quired that Brookside Avenue for a distance of 400 feet, measured
200 feet on each side of the center line of San Mateo Street be
declared a NO PARKING ZONE, and it shall be unlawful to park any
motor vehicle at any time upon said portion of Brookside Avenue on
both aides of said Street.
SECTION TWO: That the Chief of Police shall place and
cause to be maintained upon such. street as aforesaid appropriate
marks, signs or devices displaying the fact that no vehicle parking
is permitted.
SECTION THREE: That any person, firm or corporation
violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be pun-
ished by a fine of not to exceed Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) or
by imprisonment in the City or County Jail for a period of not
exceeding five days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from. and after its passage as provided. by law.
SECTION FIVE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adop-
tion of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the
Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed
and published in. this City.
