SUBJECT PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER FOR CITY OF REDLANDS ANNEXATION
RECOMMENDATION :
Adopt the attached resolution which transfers
property tax revenue to the City of Redlands as
the result of a recent annexation .
Background
State law provides that jurisdictions involved in changes of
service responsibility related to annexations reach agreement
on future distribution of property tax revenues within annexed
areas . On May 19 , 1980 , the Board approved a formula for tax
transfers which this office had worked out with city managers
to be applied to pending annexations . The attached resolution im-
plements the agreed-to formula for City of Redlands Annexation
#2004 and transfers to the city a total of $ 1 , 623 in property taxes .
