HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1048ORDINANCE NO. 1048 AN- ORDINANCE OF INTENTION TO CLOSE SYLVAN BOULEVARD BETWEEN UNIVERSITY STREET AND DIVISION STREET. The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9t Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the Statt, of Cali- fornia and to vacate a part of a street in the manner provided therein. SECTION T40: This City Council does hereby declare that it is the intention of this City Council to order the vacation of Sylvan Boulevard between University Street and Division Street, described as follows: All that portion of Sylvan Boulevard in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of Califor- nia, lying between the East Right of Way line of Di- vision Street, a street of 60 foot right of way, on the West; and the West Right of Wayline of Univer- sity Street, a street of 60 foot right of way, on the East. Subject to an easement described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Sylvan Boulevard and. University Street and running thence S 0° 12' E, 21.01 feet; thence 5 86' 12' 30" W 30.06 feet to the West line of University Street, the true point of beginning; thence S 86° 12' 30" W, a distance of 151.07 feet. SECTION THREE: Said easement is reserved and excepted by the California Water & Telephone Company. SECTION FOUR: This City Council does hereby declare that no parking shall be allowed along the Northerly curb of Park Ave- nue in the City of Redlands between University Street on the East and. Division Street an the West. SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing of all matters concerning the above -described proposed street closing, and the time at which any person or agent should present any objection to the aforesaid street vacation, at 7:30 k. M. on the 19th day of February 1957, in the regular meeting place of the City Council in the City Hall, Redlands, California. SECTION SIX: This ordinance shall take effect in 30 days and prior to fifteen days from the passage hereof shall be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Redlands, California.
