MAYS County Administrative Officer SUBJECT: PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER TO THE CITY OF LOMA LINDA, LAFC NO. 2466 RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a resolution adopting a formula for transfer $289.00 of property tax to the City of Redlands as a result of pending annexation. BACKGROUND: State law requires that agreement on distribution of property tax relating to proposed boundary changes be reached before the Local Agency Formation Commission issues a Certificate of Filing. On May 19, 1980, the Board approved the formula for property tax transfers which had been agreed u pon by County staff and a committee of city managers. This resolution provides for continuation of existing County services to the area being annexed to allow the City ample time to identify and secure the resources necessary to serve the annexed territory. This action will determine the share of property tax revenue to be allocated as a result of this jurisdictional change and shall only be effective upon satisfactory completion of the annexation proceedings.
