RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OP THE
CITY OF REDIANDS
AUTHORIZING AN MtMMCENT TO CORRECT Ali ERROR IN TfE CONTRACT BEVIE7-N TIE
CITY OP REDLANDS
AND THE
PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREIMEIT SYSTEM,
WHEMM S the City Council of the City of Redlands and the Board of AdTdnistration
of the Public Employees' Retirement System en-IL-lered into a contract effec-
tive June 1, 1945, providing for the participation of said City of Redlands
in the Public Employees' Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, said contract was further amended effective September 22, 1975 to nrovide
post-retirement survivor benefits; and
WHEREAS, that amendment should have provided for a rate increase for miscellaneous
members to 9.91% in accordance with the actuarial valuation but inadvert-
ently because of a typographical error, the rate indicated in the amend-
ment was 9.154%; and
WHEREAS, Section 20461 of the Public Employees' Retirement Law provides that an
error made in a contract may be corrected through amendments approved
by the adoption of suitable resolutions by the contracting parties;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said CITY C0aTCIIJ of the CITY OF REDLkNDS
authorize, and it does hereby authorize an amendment to said contract
to read as follows:
A. Paragraph 6 (a) shall be stricken from said contract and the fol-
lowing paragraph 6 (a) substituted therefor:
6. a. With respect to miscellaneous members, the public agency
shall contribute the following percentages of monthly salaries
earned as miscellaneous members of said System:
(1) 0.84 percent until June 30, 1984 on account of the liability
for prior service benefits.
(2) 8.80 percent on account of the liability for current
service benefits.

(3) 0.27 percent until. May 31, 1983, to provide the benefits
under Section 21222.1 of the Government Code.
BE IT 5 RT ER RESOLVED, that the presiding officer of said CITY COUNCICL be, and
he is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to execute said
amendment for and on behalf of said CITY OF R"I� ANDS.
