HomeMy WebLinkAbout8632RESOLUTION NO. 8632 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, pursuant to studies made under the authority of Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and the presentation of information contained in such studies, the City Council of the City of Redlands has determined that certain traffic regulations are necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare and should be established pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. This City Council determines that approval of this Resolution is exempt from review under California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15301(c) which exempts minor street alterations that involve negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. This City Council finds with certainty that there is no possibility the approval of this Resolution will have a significant effect on the environment. Section 2. Pursuant to section 10.40.090 of the Redlands Municipal Code, the City Council hereby establishes a 1-hour time restriction on Columbia Street between Sun Avenue and the Alley (located midway between Sun Avenue and Colton Avenue), and a 2-hour time restriction on Columbia Street between Colton Avenue and the Alley. Both restrictions will be in effect between the hours of 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Section 3. City staff is hereby directed to take all necessary actions to install signage and/or curb markings to implement this Resolution.
