A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING A
POLICY TO ENCOURAGE LOCAL VENDOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CITY'S
PROCUREMENT PROCESS.
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands desires to promote the economic health of the City and
to encourage local participation in the procurement process
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as follows:
SECTION I: The City of Redlands, in determining the lowest responsible bidder, may
take into consideration the sales tax which would be returned to the City as a result of the award.
In the event that sales tax is not generated by the award, a 1% local vendor preference may still
be considered.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of March 2401.
