A RESOLUTION OFT >; CITY COUNCIL OF THS CITY OF REDLAINDS,
PROVIDING CROSSING PROTECTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF
ALABAMA STREET AND SANTA FE RAILROAD CROSSING NO. 2U-7.3,
AND AT THE INTERSECTION OF ORANGE STREET AND SANTA FE
RAILROAD CROSSING NO. 2U-8.8.
WHEREAS, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad Company
desires to install crossing protection at the intersections
of Alabama Street and Orange Street and the Santa Fe Rail-
road Crossing Nos. 2U,-7.3 and 2U-8.8, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands desires
to provide for the safety and welfare of the motoring public,
and;
WHEREAS, the crossing protection proposed by the Santa Fe
Railroad would accomplish the mutual objective of the Rail-
road and the City,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Redlands hereby approves the agreement prepared by the
Santa Fe Railroad Company to accomplish this objective, and
the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign
said agreement on behalf of the City of Redlands.
ADOPTED, SIC%NED AND APPROVED this 16th day of January ,
1968.
