A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS PROVIDING
CROSSING PROTECTION AT THE CROSSING OF SAN TIMOTEO CANYON ROAD AND
THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY TRACKS, CROSSING B-546. 7.
WHEREAS , the Southern Pacific Transportation Company and the City
of Redlands have been ordered by the California Utilities Commission,
under Decision No. 72106 , to provide crossing protection at the
intersection of San Tim- oteo Canyon Road and the Southern Pacific
Transportation Company tracks ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands and the Southern
Pacific Transportation Company desires to provide for the safety
and welfare of the motoring public ; and
WHEREAS , the crossing protection proposed by the Southern Pacific
C) -
Transportation Company would accomplish the mutual objectives of
the railroad and the City.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Redlands hereby approves the agreement prepared by the Southern
Pacific Transportation Company to accomplish this objective, and
the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign said
agreement on behalf of the City of Redlands .
