WflIE-REAS, the 195a Legislature, by Statute 1933, Chapter 1739,
appropriated $5oo,000.00 froze the State Highway Funt-14 to the Public

determined by said Commission, to assist them in P&Ying theix shaxe
of cost of constructing grade crossing protection work on city a-nd
county stree ts , road-s and highways. and
WEREA-S, on January 18, 1954, the Public Utilities Commission Of
the state of California issued Commission Ordez lNo. 49565, as aAended
pu.-.suant to said statute, establishing procedures to he followed by
cities and counties in requesting such allocation from the CrOSSin9
Protection Fund; and
WWREAS, the Clity of Redlands is willing to participate in the
installation of warning devices at Crossing No. 2TJ-7.8, and pay its
share, of cost for the above, mentioned work to be done by the Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Rai-lwaY Comb Y, city's ti ped share being
$5,105.00;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDI.MDS:
The sionatures of the HAVor and City Cle�k are hereby authorized
LO appear On t.he submitted application to the Public Utilities Commission
for allocation by the public Utilities Covmfission in accordance with
the rues and regulations of said Commission.
