RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING
RATES AND CHARGES OF THE SEWER DIVISION AS PROVIDED BY SECTION FOUR,
ORDINANCE NO. 948 , AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 3272
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands
that the following sewer rates and charges shall become effective
on January 4, 1983 , and shall be billed after a minimum of 60
days have elapsed after the effective date of this resolution :
SECTION ONE
(a) Domestic Rates : All dwelling units including single
family residences , apartments , hotel accommodations , and
mobile homes , having cooking facilities shall be charged
the sum of $3. 85 per month.
(b) Each dwelling unit without cooking facilities shall
be charged the sum of $1 . 26 per month.
(c) Each school shall pay a sewer rental fee according to
the following schedule : the sum of $12 .60 per month during
the school term for each 100 A. D.A. or part thereof, com-
puted on the previous year' s attendance .
(d) Each business establishment, manufacturing plant,
commercial house , industrial building, or plant shall pay
the following rates for each sewer connection based on the
amount of water consumption of said premises payable monthly
as follows :
The sum of three dollars and sixty-four cents ($3 .64 )
for each 1000 cubic feet or fraction thereof.
The above unit rate is based on one hundred percent of the
estimated cost for sewage treatment and disposal per M.G.
(e) Club buildings and meeting places shall be charged on
the same basis as commercial houses , business establishments ,
and industrial buildings or plants .
(f) The rental rate for commercial houses and small in-
dustries maintaining yard space and landscapting will be
based on the average water usage for the month of December
and the following month of January, this basis to be estab-
lished annually.
(g) For each church the sum of three dollars and eighty-five
cents ($3 . 85) per month. This section includes churches only,
and not parsonages , which shall be charged at the regular
residential rate .
SECTION TWO
(a) Outside Rates : Sewer services provided to facilities
that are not within the Redlands City Limits shall be charged
a monthly rate that shall be double the amount as outlined in
Section One.
SECTION THREE
The Public Works Department shall review annually the rate
structure established herein, and shall recommend any necessary
revisions to the City Council at the time of the presentation
of the Sewer Section budget for the succeeding fiscal year.
