RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THAT CERTAIN LEASE AGREEMENT, DATED
AS OF MAY 1, 1974, BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE RE-
DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, AND
APPROVING THE BASE RENTAL PAYABLE BY THE CITY
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands
proposes to acquire and construct certain public off-street parking
facilities in the City of Redlands and to lease said facilities to
said City pursuant to that certain Lease Agreement, dated as of
May 1, 1974 (the "Lease" ) , a copy of the form of which is on file
with the City Clerk of said City,- and
WHEREAS, said Agency proposes to finance such acquisition
and construction through the issuance of revenue bonds pursuant to
the Community Redevelopment Law (Part 1 of Division 24 of the Health
and Safety Code) , such bonds to be payable as to principal and in-
terest from the proceeds of rents to be paid by the City under the
terms of said Lease; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands
has adopted its resolution fixing the amount of Base Rental payable
under Section 4 (b) of said Lease Agreement at $226, 300 per annum,
payable semiannually;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Redlands, as follows:
Section 1 , This Council hereby approves the Lease, pro-
vided that the amount of base rental payable by the City thereunder
shall not exceed $230,000 per annum.
Section 2. Subject to the provisions of Section 1 hereof,
the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said Lease and. the
City Clerk is authorized and directed to attest thereto and to affix
the official seal of the City thereto and to cause said Lease, fol-
lowing execution by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands,
to be recorded with the County Recorder of San Bernardino County.
