A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
VERIFYING THAT ALL ADOPTED PROCEDURES WERE FOLLOWED IN THE
ELECTION OF THE PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE FOR THE REDLANDS
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AMENDMENT NO. 4
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands (the "City Council") and the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands (the "Agency") have initiated an amendment to
the Redevelopment Plan (the "Redevelopment Plan") for the Redlands Redevelopment
Project, Amendment No. 4 (the "Amendment"); and
WHEREAS, on January 21, 2003, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 6119,
calling for the election of a Project Area Committee ("PAC") for the proposed Amendment
pursuant to Section 33385 of the California Health and Safety Code; and,
WHEREAS, on January 21, 2003, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 6118,
adopting the Project Area Committee Formation and Election Procedures (the "Procedures")
for the formation of the PAC for the proposed Amendment; and,
WHEREAS, notices were sent to residents, businesses, community organizations and
property owners within the Project Area on February 7, 2003, a display ad was published in the
Redlands Daily Facts on February 14, 2003, and one (1) meeting to discuss the PAC was
conducted on February 26, 2003; and
WHEREAS, a PAC election was conducted on March 11, 2003, to elect PAC members;
and
WHEREAS, Agency staff was present throughout the PAC election to oversee the
process; and
WHEREAS, all activities prior to, and including, said election were held in accordance
with said adopted Procedures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
SECTION 1. The Procedures for PAC formation adopted by Resolution No. 6118 on
January 21, 2003, were followed in the election of the PAC on March 11, 2003.
SECTION 2. The Executive Officer of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Redlands is hereby directed to send acknowledgment of their election to each of the PAC
members.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby expresses its gratitude to all persons involved in
the PAC election for their participation, and congratulates all those who were elected to serve
on the PAC for the Redlands Redevelopment Project.
