HomeMy WebLinkAbout3123_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 3123 RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN FACIA ITIES, STRUCTURES AND !MPROVEMENTS BEING INSTALLED WITHIN THE REDLANDS RE- DEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA ARE OF BENEFIT TO THE PROJECT AREA. WEEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City cf Redlands is a redevelopment agency (a public body, corporate and politic) duly treated, established and authorized to transact business and exercise its powers, all under andpursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law (Part 1 of Division 24 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California) and the powers of such aqency include the power to issue bonds for any of its corporate purposes; and WEEREAS, a redevelopment plan for a redevelopment project known and desiqnated as "Redlands Redevelopment Project" has been adopted and approved and all requirements of law for, and precedent to, the adoption and approval of said plan have been duly complied with; and WHEREAS, in accordance with said redevelopment plan, the Agency proposes to acquire and clear certain parcels of land (the "Site" , described in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein) and to construct a parking facility together with related public improvements (the "Facility" ) thereon, and to lease the Site and the Facility (referred to herein collectively as the "Leased Premiseso ) to the City NOW, TWREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER as follows: Section 1. In accordance with Section 33445 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California, the Agency is authorized to pay all or part of the value of the land for and the cost of the installation and construction of any building, facility, structure, or other improvement is is publicly owned either within or without a project area, to the extent that such buildings, facilities, structures, or other improvements are of benefit to the project area, Section 2. The site, as described in Exhibit A attached hereto, and by this reference incorporated herein, the parking facility together with public improvements being installed and constructed thereon and the lease of said Site and Facility, referred to collectively as the Leased Premises, are of benefit to the redevelopment project area.
