A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ,
CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING A REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA IN
CONNECTION WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE REDLANDS REDEVELOP-
MENT PLAN NO. 2 AND DIRECTING THE SELECTION OF BOUNDARIES
FOR THE REDLANDS REDEVELOPMENT PLAN NO. 2 AND TO FORMULATE
A PRELIMINARY PLAN AND OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR THE
REDEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT AREA
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redlands by
Ordinance No. 1436 on April 6 , 1971 established a Redevelopment
Agency for the City of Redlands ;
WHEREAS , pursuant to Section 33310 of the California
Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code) , Section
33000 et seq. ) , the City Council of the City of Redlands may
designate areas within the incorporated limits of the City as
redevelopment survey areas ; and
WHEREAS , Section 33322 of the California Community Redevelop-
ment Law authorizes the selection of Project Areas from within
the boundaries of Redevelopment Survey Areas and formulate a
Preliminary Plan for the redevelopment of such proposed Redevelop-
ment Project Areas ; and
WHEREAS , the City Council desires to study a Survey Area
to determine if a redevelopment project within such Survey Area
is feasible; and
WHEREAS , this City Council desires to designate as a
Redevelopment Survey Area in connection with the potential
Redlands Redevelopment Plan No. 2 that area as shown on the map
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands
does hereby resolve as follows :
SECTION l: The City Council hereby designates as a
Redevelopment Survey Area that area within the incorporated limits
of the City as shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2 : The City Council hereby directs the selection
of the boundaries of the City of Redlands Redevelopment Project
No. 2 from within the boundaries of the Redevelopment Survey Area,
and to formulate a Preliminary Plan and related documents for the
redevelopment of the Redevelopment Project Area No. 2 .
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 17th day of December, 1985 .
