A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ADOPTING PROPOSED AMENDMENT NO. 2009-1-A TO THE REDLANDS
GENERAL PLAN AS THE CITY'S FIRST CYCLE GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2009
WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code section 65353, and after duly-noticed
public hearing,the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed amendment
number 2009-1-A to the Redlands General Plan and made a written recommendation for adoption of
such amendment to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, notice of this City Council's public hearing for consideration of the proposed
amendment was duly published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the Redlands City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, following a public hearing on the proposed amendment, at which this City
Council provided opportunity for public testimony,the City Council determined that adoption of the
proposed amendment is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands that
the following first cycle amendment, for the calendar year 2009, to Redlands' General Plan be
adopted as follows:
A. Redlands General Plan Figure 4.1, the General Plan Diagram: Modify Redlands
General Plan Figure 4.1,the General Plan Diagram,to designate a portion of the Redlands Commons
site, legally described as APNs 0167-091-02, 0167-091-04, 0167-091-05,0167-091-08, located on
the eastern portion of the Project site and bounded by San Bernardino Avenue to the south, Texas
Street to the east, Pioneer Avenue to the north, and the Trojan Groves site to the west) that is
currently designated as Commercial to Medium Density Residential(0 to 15.0 units per gross acre).
B. Redlands General Plan Figure 5.1,Traffic Network: Modify Redlands General Plan
Figure 5.1, Traffic Network, to include New York Street, a two-way collector street that runs in a
north-south direction,generally separating the Redlands Commons property from the Trojan Groves
property, which is bounded by San Bernardino Avenue to the South, Texas Street to east, Pioneer
Avenue to the north, and 1-210 to the west.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of January 6, 2009.
