HomeMy WebLinkAbout204 RDA_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 204 A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE REDLANDS REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA. WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands ( "Agency" ) desires to acquire certain unimproved real property located at the Southeast corner of Olive Avenue and Myrtle Street within the City of Redlands (the "Property" ) for the purpose of developing a public parking lot and related improvements thereon; and I WHEREAS, the Agency has considered all matters necessary to be considered and duly presented prior to the adoption of this Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, THE AGENCY DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE, DECLARE AND ORDER as follows: Section 1 : That the Property is located outside of but directly adjacent to the boundaries of the Redlands Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area" ) in the City of Redlands, and is legally described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2: That although the Property is located outside the boundaries of the Redlands Redevelopment Project Area, the acquisition of the Property and construction of a public parking lot and related improvements thereon is necessary and beneficial to the Project Area and is in furtherance of the Redevelopment Plan for the Project Area. Section 3 : That the Property is to be used for purposes of redevelopment and that acquisition of the Property is authorized by Section 33391 of the Health and Safety Code, as amended. Section 4 : That the Agency hereby authorizes and directs the Executive Director of the Agency to enter into such agreements and to take such steps as are appropriate to acquire the Property for a purchase price of not to exceed $ 225, 000. 00 ADOPTED, SIGNED, APPROVED AND EFFECTIVE this 29th day of September 1987. Layman, et ux, by deed recorded in Book 497, page 153, of Deeds; thence Southwesterly along the Northerly line of said land conveyed to Joseph C. Layman, et ux, to the West line of said Lot 1: thence North along the West line of Lot 1, 105 feet to the point of beginning. PARCEL NO. 2 : The Northeasterly 20 feet of Lot 1 and the Southwesterly 20 feet of Lot 2, Block I'D" , WATROUS FIRST ADDITION, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per plat recorded in Book 5 of Maps, page 34, records of said County. PARCEL NO. 3: Portion 'of Lot 1, Block ItDII , WATROUS FIRST ADDITION TO REDLANDS, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, according to Plat thereof recorded in Book 5 of Maps, page 34 , records of said County, described as follows : BEGINNING at a point where the boundary line between Lots 1 and 3,, Block I'D" , intersects the Easterly line of Myrtle Street; , thence along said Myrtle Street in a Northwesterly direction 55 feet; thence in a Northeasterly direction parallel with the Southeasterly line of said Lot 1, 80 feet; thence Southeasterly parallel with the Easterly line of Myrtle Street , 55 feet to the Southeasterly line of said Lot 1; thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line of said Lot 1. 80 feet to the point of beginning, being the Southeasterly 55 feet of the Southwesterly 80 feet of said Lot 1.
