A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AUTHORIZING STAFF TO BEGIN ACTIVITIES TO AMEND
THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE REDLANDS REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AREA
WHEREAS, the Redlands City Council adopted the Redevelopment Plan (the
"Plan")for the Redlands Redevelopment Project(the"Project") on September 26, 1972 by
Ordinance No. 1500: and
WHEREAS, the Redlands City Council amended the Plan on February 17, 1976 by
Ordinance No. 1575, on November 5, 1996 by Ordinance No. 2336, and on December 19,
2000 by Ordinance No, 2464-, and
WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 33450 etseq. authorizes amendments
to redevelopment plans and provides statutory processes for such amendments, and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands (the "Agency")
wishes to begin actions to amend the Plan to authorize the acquisition of certain residential
properties through any lawful means, including eminent domain.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Agency as follows.-
Section 1. The Executive Director of the Agency is hereby authorized and
directed to begin an amendment to the Plan that would authorize the acquisition of certain
residential properties through any lawful means, including eminent domain, within the
boundaries of the Project Area.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of January 2003.
