HomeMy WebLinkAbout3606_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 3606 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DECLARING THAT PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF REDLANDS SHALL BE LIMITED AS TO TIME AND/OR PUR- POSE OF PARKING THEREON: PARKING LOT, SAFETY HALL WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized under the provi- sions of Section 22519, Vehicle Code of California, to regu- late the parking, stopping or standing of vehicles on any off- street parking facility which it owns or operates, and WHEREAS, the City Council declares that public convenience and necessity require that certain property owned by the City of Redlands, to wit: the off-street parking facility to the north, northwest, and southwest of, and directly adjacent to, Safety Hall at 212 Brookside Avenue, shall be limited as to time and/or purpose of parking, thereon, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED: That the parking, stopping or standing of vehicles on that certain off-street parking facility owned by the City of Red- lands, to wit: that property to the north, northwest, and south- west of, and directly adjacent to, Safety Hall at 212 Brookside Avenue, shall be limited as to time and/or /or purpose, to wit : "Parking By Permit Only" and "Police Vehicles Only, " and That the parking, stopping or standing of vehicles on that certain off-street parking facility owned by the City of Red- lands, to wit: that property directly to the south of, and adja- cent to, Safety Hall at 212 Brookside Avenue shall be limited as to time, to wit : three hours between the hours of 8 :00 A.M. and 6 : 00 P.M. That the City Traffic Engineer shall cause signs to be placed and maintained on said property, indicating such limita- tions and/or regulations as are herein provided, and thereafter it shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to park, stop, or permit the standing of said vehicle on said property for a time longer or for a purpose other than is indicated on said sign, and That the Chief of Police shall cause such permits to be issued to the drivers of vehicles who, to the satisfaction of the Chief of Police, establish a requirement to park, stop or cause a vehicle to stand in a "Parking By Permit Only" zone, and, upon proper display of such issued permit on a vehicle, said ve- hicle shall be exempt from the restrictions herein while parked within said zone, and That the Chief of Police shall designate bath marked and unmarked police vehicles which are permitted to park, stop or stand in a "Police Vehicle Only" zone, which vehicles shall be exempt from the restrictions herein while parked within said zone.
