COUNCIL MEETING OF 7/19/88 REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION SUBJECT: Salary Resolution No. 4402 MOTION: I move approval of Resolution No. 4402 establishing a salary and compensation plan for city employees. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 4402 implementing the salary and authorized position changes. DISCUSSION: This Resolution reflects an additional police officer and the reorganization and implementation of the recycling program in the Solid Waste Division. Also included is an Associate Engineer in the Engineering Division who will be assigned to the landfill operation to perform professional engineering work and assure all work is in com- pliance with State regulations or will be assigned to capital improvement projects. FISCAL IMPACT: Costs for the changes in the Solid Waste Division are in- included in the 1988-89 departmental budget. The costs for the Associate Engineer will be funded from the Solid Waste Division, included in the 1988-89 budget, when assigned to the landfill operations and from the Capital Improvement Fund when assigned to those projects and will not require any additional monies from the General Fund.
