„SCLUTION AUTHORIZING THE' MAYOR OF THE CITY OF .ZDLAND3 TO =CUTE N AGREEMENT
FOR, STATE ADMINISTRATION OF LOCAL SALES AND USE TAXES
W11EREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has adopted Ordinance
No. 1021 entitled: "AnORDZNANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, IMSING A CITY SALES
AND USE TAX: PROVIDING FOR THE PERFORMANCE; BY THE; STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION OF
ALL FUNCTIONS INCIDENT TO THE ADMINISTRATION, OPERATION AND COLLECTION OF THE SALES
AND USE; TAX HEiZ Y IMPOSED; SUSPENDING THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCES NOS. 936 .AND
937 (REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE, CHAPTERS 24 AND 25), DURING SUCH TIME AS THIS ORDI_
NANCa; IS OPERATIVE; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEa-11,0F."
WHEREAS, as evidenced by the adoption of Ordinance No. 102, the City
Council of the City of Redlands desires that the sales and use teat provided therein
shall be administered and collected by the State Board of Equalization in accor-
dance with the existing statutory and administrative procedures followed by the
State Board of Equalization;
BE IT H; E+BY RESOLVED:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Redlands approves the
execution with the State Board of Equalization of an "Agreement for State Admini-
stration of Local Sales and Use Taxes", to carry out Part 1.5 of Division 2 of
The Revenue and Taxation Code and Ordinance No. 1026, the sales andluse tax
ordinance of the City of Redlands.
SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Redlands is hereby authorized, em-
powered, and directed to execute said agreement for and on behalf of - said City
and the execution of said agreement is hereby ratified.
