RELATIVE TO PRICING POLICY DOIERMINATION TO BE HADE A\_'
THE SAY BERNARDINO MMICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS , the Liaison Pricing Conwiczac has reawestcj the
SBVMWD to t an economic consultant
no undormake a stow no
snow the effect of various metho6s by which thE District ma,-
receive revenue to pay its proportionate share of the costs of-
the California Water Plan, and
t,,-e Districz has engaged the firm of Bartie.weiis
to undertake this study and this szody is presently underway,
WHEREAS , it is assumod the Districz will use this study to
assist it in formulating its basic policy of
collecting the necessary revenue to conduct its basic function of
providing supplemental water to the area, and
WHEREAS , it is in the interest of harmony throughout tho Dis-
trict that the viewpoint of all major constituent agencies be
taken into account in the determination of the final policy to be
adopted by the DisLrict, and
WHEREAS . the Mv of Redlands rapresenzs a substantial share
of the assessed valuation of the District and will theiefore ae
paying a proportionately substantial amount of monevs to the
trict through any ad valorem taxes levied by the Diltrict,
NOW, TEEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED that the City council of tM,
City of Redlands does hereby request the Board of Directors of
the SBVMWD to reEwain from establishing a policy on general pric-
ing of supplemental water unuil it has distzibuted nhe aforomen-
tioned economic study in its final form to all mator constituent
aqencies and interested oar Us and a reasonable period oF zime
thereafter scheduled public hearings to receive the official posi-
tiDns and opinions of its constituents ,
