HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 8671RESOLUTION NO. 8671 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OF TIME TO THE EXPIRATION DATE FOR COMMISSION REVIEW & APPROVAL NO. 950 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE (RV) SALES, SERVICE, AND STORAGE FACILITY AND RELATED ON -SITE IMPROVEMENTS LOCATED AT 1060 NEVADA STREET. WHEREAS, Mark Stanson, Chase Holdings, LP, applicant, along with owner Ryan Chase, has submitted an application for Extension of Time No. 1 to construct of an RV sales, storage, and service facility on a 4.6-acre property. The proposed project includes an approximately 3,000 square - foot sales office and caretaker's residence as well as an approximately 1,500 square -foot vehicle service area. The project site is located at 1060 Nevada Street (APN: 0292-063-57-0000), approximately 560 feet north of West Redlands Blvd., in the Commercial Transition (EV/TC) district of the East Valley Corridor Specific Plan. WHEREAS, on April 11, 2023, the Redlands Planning Commission held a public hearing, and adopted Resolution No. 1619 to approve Commission Review& Approval No. 950; and WHEREAS, Redlands Municipal Code section 18.12.130 permits an applicant to request a one-year extension of time to extend the expiration date for a Commission Review & Approval, provided the total number of such one-year extensions do not exceed three; and WHEREAS, the applicant intends to develop the project approved by Commission Review & Approval No. 950, and requests the extension to allow more time to allocate appropriate funding and submit plans for plan check; and WHEREAS, following the meeting for the extension of time to Commission Review & Approval No. 950, the City Council determined that the approval of the requested one-year extension of tilne is in the best interests of the public health, safety, and general welfare. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. California Environmental Quality Act. Approval of this Resolution is exempt from further environmental review pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the State Guidelines implementing the California Environmental Quality Act, as there is no possibility of any potentially significant environmental effects as a result of the Extension of Time. Planning Commission Resolution No. 1619 was adopted on April 11, 2023, and determined the project was exempt from environmental review in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act. There are no changes proposed to the approved project as part of the Extension of Time. SECTION 2. Approval of Extension of Time. The proposed one-year extension of time for Commission Review & Approval No. 950 is hereby approved in accordance with Redlands Municipal Code Section 18.12.130. The project shall remain subject to all original Conditions of Approval (contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 1619). SECTION 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15t day of April, 2025.
