HomeMy WebLinkAbout6188_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 6188 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS SETTING PRIORITIES FOR FILING A WRITTEN ARGUMENT REGARDING A CITY MEASURE WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held in the City of Redlands on Tuesday, November 4, 2003, at which time there will be submitted to the voters the following measure: "Ordinance No. 2550, an initiative ordinance of the People of the City of Redlands consenting to the City's extension beyond December 31, 2003, of the term of the contract with the County of San Bernardino to apportion sales and use tax revenue generated by businesses located within the unincorporated area known as the "Donut Hole" and for the City's provision of municipal services to the "Donut Hole" and approving an amendment to the City's General Plan relating to development within the City's planning area and sphere of influence." NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION ONE: That the City Council authorizes Councilmember Susan Peppler and Councilmember Karl N. (Kaley) Haws to file a written argument in favor of the City measure as specified above, accompanied by the printed name(s) and signature(s) of the person(s) submitting it, in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the California Elections Code and to change the argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against the City measure may be submitted to the City Clerk.
