A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THS CITY OF REDLANDS,
CALIFORNIA, &VITLOYING AN ENGIMCER OF 'WORK, RELATIVE TO
THE CON6TRUCTION OF SANITARY SE16BR IN OLIVE AVENUE BETWEEN
ALVARIkDO STREET AND GRANT STREET.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands authorized
the execution of an agreement between. said City and Foulke, Crist
Brodie, Consulting Engineers , for furnishing professional-Lonal ser-
vices for the construct-Lon of sanitary sewer in Olive Avenue between
Alvarado Street and Grant Street under the provisions of the Improve-
ment Act of 1911 , and
WHEREAS, it is desired to employ an engineer of work to have
charge over the proceedings and work for improving said streets as
provided in said Act .
NU-N, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS D04':✓S
RESOLVE AS FOLLQVJ3:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to improve a portion of 01-ive Avenue between Alvarado Street
and Grant Street by- the construction of sanitary sewer under and
pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911, being Division 7 of the
Streets and Highways Code of Uie State of California.
SECTION 2. That the firm of Foulke, Cris-10 &, Brodie, Consulting
Engineers , and faore particularly Omer 1-11. Brodie a -partner tinereof,
hereby is employed as engineer of work for any and all proceedings
Toad for ICh.e irsliprovements of said streets under said Act , all as
provided under Sections 5701, 5702 and �5703 thereof.
SECTION 3 . That t.qe Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Redlands shall. nave charge over said improvement work, 1iich in
all cases shall be done under his direction and to his satisfaction,
and the materials used shall comply with the specifications of said
SECTION 4. That the compensation for the employment of said
engineer of work shall be as fixed by an agreement entered into
between the City and the engineer of work for the specific project .
