RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE CONSTRUCTION
OF CERTAIN SANITARY SEWERS AND APPURTEN-
. : ANCES AND APPURTENANT WORK IN THE CITY
OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA; DECLARING THE
WORK TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY
PUBLIC BENEFIT; DESCRIBING THE DISTRICT
TO BE BENEFITED BY SAID WORK AND TO BE
ASSESSED TO PAY THE COST AND EXPENSE
THEREOF; DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL
BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT ASSESSMENTS TO
BE LEVIED; AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE
FOR HEARING PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS TO
SAID WORK OR THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT
TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH, AND GIVING
NOTICE THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Redlands, Cali-
fornia, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows :
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience
require and that it is the intention of the City Council of
said City of Redlands to order the following; work to be
done or improvement to be made in the City of Redlands,
to wit:
The construction of certain sanitary sewers and appurtenances
and appurtenant work in:
Cypress Avenue
between Roosevelt Road and a line 155 feet nortileasterly
from and parallel with the center line of said Roosevelt
Road; in
Roosevelt Road
between the southerly line of Cypress Avenue and the northerly
line of Home Place; in
Home Place
between Roosevelt Road and a line 155 feet northwesterly from
and parallel with the center line of said Roosevelt Road.
Section 2. That all the aforesaid work or improve-
ment shall be constructed at the grades, along the lines,
between the points, of the dimensions, at the places and in
the manner shown on the plans (which include profiles and
detailed drawings ) for the said work, designated "Flan No.
1949-1, " consisting of drawings numbered 1 to 2, both
inclusive, and in accordance with said plans and with the
specifications for said work, which are designated "Standard
Specifications No. 1949-1. " Said plans and specifications
have heretofore been approved by this City Council of the City
of Redlands and are on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Redlands in the City Hall in said City of
Redlands, and reference is hereby made to said plans and
pecifioations ,for the full and detailed description of said
proposed work and for a description of the grades at which
said work is to be done.
Section 3. That in the opinion of this City
Council the said contemplated work is of more than local
or ordinary public benefit and this City Council hereby
makes the expense of said work chargeable upon a district,
which district this City Council hereby declares to be the
district benefited by the said work and to be assessed to
pay the cost and expense thereof. For a description of said
district reference is hereby made to a plat or map of said
district heretofore approved by this City Council on file
in the office of the said City Clerk and designated "Map of
Assessment District No. 1949-1, " which map or plat indicates
by a boundary line the extent of the territory included in
the said proposed district and shall govern for all details
as to the extent of said assessment district.

Section 4. That serial bonds bearing interest at
the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum shall be issued to
represent each assessment of twenty-five dollars ($25) or
over remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date
Of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period
ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next
succeeding the next October 15th following their date. Said
bonds are to be issued pursuant to and as provided in the
"Improvement Act of 191111, Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
Section 5. That the said proposed work is to be
done under and proceedings therefor are to be under and
pursuant to the said "Improvement Act of 1911. "
Section 6. That notice is hereby given that the
2fth day of October, 1949, at the hour of 7;00 orclock P.M. $
is the day and hour when, and the Council Chambers of this
City Council in the City Hall, in said City of Redlands is
the Place where any and all persons having any protest or
objection to said proposed work or to the extent of said
assessment district, or to the proposed grades, may appear
before the City Council of said City of Redlands and show
cause why said Proposed work should not be carried out in
accordance with this resolution of intention. Protests or
objections must be in writing and must be delivered to the
said City Clerk of said City of Redlands not later than
the hour herein set for hearing protests or objections.
Section 7. The Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper
of general circulation, published and circulated in the said
City of Redlands, is hereby selected as the newspaper in
