RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.206.
(Vine,Sixth,Olive#Nordina and Sonora street sewer. )
Resolved:— That it is the intention of the board of trustees
of the city of Redlands to order the construction of a public; sewer
upon Vine,6th,Olive,Nordina and Sonora streets in said city beginning
at a point in the Cajon street sewer ( and connecting therewith) in
line with the center line of,, st ViAs a't Ot,thenoe to intersection
of center line of 6th street ,thenee to intersection of center line of
Olive Ave. ,thenee to intersection of center lines of Olive Ave. and
Myrtle St. produced;beginning again at intersection of center lines
of Olive Ave Aand Nordina St./ ,produeed,t/hence along oenter line of
Nordina St.658 feet;and beginning at intersection of center lines of
Olive Ave. and Sonora St. ,produced,thenee along center line of Sonora
St . , 658 feet.
On Vine,6th,and on Olive Ave. ,from intersection of center lines
thereof and 6th St. to intersection of center lines of Olive Ave. ,
and Sonora. St. ,produced the sewer pipe shall be ten inch,with 36 ten
inch Y branch pipes having six inch spurs,and the balance of said
be
sewer shall.,of 8 inch pipe,with 62 eight inch Yx branch pipes having
six inch spurs.
There shall be stat built with and as a part of said sewer 1k
3 flush tanks with the Miller automatic syphon95 manholes and 3 lamp—

holes of 8 .inch vitrified sewer pipeA Each flush tank and manhole 7
to be 5 ft. inside diameter on the bottom,and tapering to 2 ft.inside
diameter a* the top,and extending from sewer as laid to 7 inches of
the surface of the street ,all to be of brick and manholes to be surface
on outside with cement ,and flush tanks on both sides with eement,and
all having castpiron covers.
Said"YS" shall form a part of sewer line,and with said sewer
pipe shall be first quality of vitrified salt glazed sewer pipe of
sizes indieated,inside measurement.
Said sewer pipe flush tanks ,manholes,lauvholes and all of the
work connected with the construction thereof and materials therefor
shall be in accordance with the plan orofiles therefor on file inx
the city engineer' s off iee,and specifications No.9 heretofore adopted
therefor and on file in the office of the city clerk.
That the work of constructiuLy said sewer is in the opinion of
said board of more than local and ordinary public benefit ,_jnd the
expense of said rork is hereby made chargeable upon the district here-
inafter specified.
That

costs and expenses thereof, are described
as follows, to wit:
Beginning on the east side of Cajon
street at the center of East Vine street, in
said city, thence north 164 feet to the
south side of an alley, thence east along
the south side of said alley, 1,144 feet to
the center of Olive avenue, thence north
66 degrees east along the center line of
Oliveavenue 177 feet, thence south 34 de-
grees east 210 feet, thence north 66 de-
grees east 60 feet, thence south 34 degrees
east 460 feet, thence south 66 degrees
west 1,116 feet, thence north 34 degrees
west 660 feet to the center of Olive ave-
nue, thence south 66 degrees west 26 feet.
thence north 34 degrees west 410 feet to
the center of East Vine street, thence
west along the center of East Vine street
167 feet tol the ula.ce of beginning.
The city clerk is hereby directed to post this resolution
conspicuously for two days on or near the chamber door of this board
and to cause the sa%e to be published by two insertions in the manner
requixe� by law,in the Citrograph,a weekly newppaper published and
circulated in said city,hereby dttsignated for that rurpose.
The superintendent o streets of said city is hereby directed
to pose notices of the passage of this resolution in the manner and
in the form required by law,,,,nd to cause a similar notice to be
published for six days in the manner required by law,in the Redlands
Daily Faets,a daily newspaper published and circulated in said city ,
hereby designated for that purpose.
T hereby certify that the forE�,7oing resolution was passed by
said board of trustees on the 18th dayofMarch,1903 by the full
vote of said board.. .
