RESOLVED, that the Attorney General., or an of is aut- or
ized assistants or deputies, be authorized to take such action
on: -ur behalf and in our game, as, in his sole discretion, rias=
be deemed a p.ropr-Late in the preparation, filing, service and
jos cution of a Civil Antitrust Suit for damages and other legal
recovery against certain automobile manufacturers for con-spicing
to retard the l troduction of smoa control devices in the tate of
California, and be it further
RESULVED, that this authorization includes the authorit r to
settle such litigation on such terms as the Attorncy General or
any of his authorized assistants or deputies maV deerin appropriate,
and to allocate to us our proper and equitable share of any sum
recovered as damages excepting the a noun t of attorneys ' fees , costs,
and expenses incurred by the Attorney General as det-er;i ined or ap-
prOVed by the Court, whether by settlement, suit, or otherwise.
