RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DESIGNATING' THE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
SERVICES AS THE SOLID WASTE ENFORCEMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino and its incorporated
cities are required by Section 66796 of the Government Code to
designate an enforcement agency to carry out the provisions of
the Z ' Berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste Control Act of 1976; and
WHEREAS, the County Department of Environmental Health
Services possesses the required capabilities in environmental
health and solid waste management to implement the Z-Berg-Kapiloff
Solid Waste Control Act of 1976 and the regulations and ordinances
that have been and will be adopted pursuant thereto;
WHEREAS, it has been indicated that the Department of Envi-
rormental Health Services will be given sufficient personnel and
an adequate budget to carry out the enforcement program specified
by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that -the City Council hereby
approves the designation of the Department of Environmental
Health Services by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors
as enforcement agency for the county and all cities contained
within the county, pursuant to sub-section (a) (1) of Section 66796
of the Government Code.
