RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY
WHEREAS, the State of California has adopted the Solid Waste
Management and Resource Recovery Act of 1972 (Sections 66700-
66793, Government Code) and
WHEREAS, said Act required each County to prepare a Solid
Waste Management Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 66780 of said Government Code requires that
the plan be approved by a majority of the cities containing a
majority of the population of the incorporated area; and
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has
authorized the preparation of such a plan.; and
WHEREAS, said report has been reviewed by the City Council of
the City of Redlands;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands does hereby approve said report, in principle,
and concurs in the objectives set forth in the plan, the method
and organization for implementation of the program, procedures for
financing the recommended program, and the role identified in the
plan for the City of Redlands.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of August, 1975.
