A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
GIVING PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF THE ENGINEER'S REPORTS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 FOR STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 1 AND
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands (the "City Council") has heretofore
determined that the public interest, convenience and necessity require the maintenance and
operation of street lighting and appurtenant facilities, as set forth in Section 22525 of the Streets
and Highways Code, within the incorporated boundaries of the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore determined that the public interest,
convenience and necessity require the maintenance of landscape and irrigation facilities set forth
in Section 22525 of the Streets and Highways Code, State of California, within the incorporated
boundaries of the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, Donald Young, One Stop Permit Center Manager, 35 Cajon Street, Suite 15A,
Redlands, California, has been appointed "Assessment Engineer" with all provisions of Part 2 of
Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code applicable to the Engineer being applied to the
"Assessment Engineer;" and
WHEREAS, Sections 22622 and 22623 of the Streets and Highways Code require that an
Engineer's Report be prepared and filed annually, specifying the assessments to be levied against
the benefitting properties within the City's Street Lighting District No. 1 and Landscape
Maintenance District No. 1; and.
WHEREAS, the Assessment Engineer has prepared and filed with the City Clerk reports
in writing as required by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 and in compliance with Article
XIIID of the California Constitution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered said reports and each and every part
thereof; and finds that each and every part of said reports is sufficient, and that no part of said
reports requires modification in any respect;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows:
Section 1. That the Engineer's estimate of the itemized costs and expenses of said
work and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith, contained in said reports be, and each
of them are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That the diagram showing the Street Lighting District No. 1 and
Landscape Maintenance District No. 1 referred to and described in said reports, and the boundaries
of the lots and parcels of land within such assessment district as the same existed at the time of
passage of this resolution, are hereby preliminarily approved and confirmed.

Section 3. That the proposed assessment upon the properties in Street Lighting
District No. 1 and Landscape Maintenance District No. 1, in proportion to the estimated benefit to
be received by such properties, respectively, from said work and of the incidental expenses thereof,
as contained in said report is hereby preliminarily approved and confirmed.
Section 4. That said reports shall stand as the Engineer's Report for the purposes of
all subsequent proceedings for Street Lighting District No. 1 and Landscape Maintenance District
No. 1.
