RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING LEVY AND COL-
LECTION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR FOUNTAIN
AVENUE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redlands ,
California ("this City Council") adopted Resolution No . 3937
ordering construction of sewer improvements for Fountain.
Avenue Assessment District ("District") pursuant to Division
7, Part 3, Chapter 27 of the Improvement Act of 1911 ; and
WHEREAS, this City Council on June 5 , 1984, intends
to confirm assessments for the District and assess the cost
of construction against those parcels of property fronting
upon the improvements so constructed, and such cost shall
constitute a special assessment against those parcels of
property, and shall be a lien on the property for the amount
thereof from the time of recordation of the Notice of Lien,
which lien shall continue until the assessment and all in-
terest thereon is paid, or until it is discharged of record;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Redlands , California, as follows :
SECTION 1 : That this City Council hereby determines
that the payment of assessments levied in connection with
Fountain Avenue Assessment District shall be made in a single
annual payment .
SECTION 2 : That the City Clerk shall , on or be-
fore August 1 , 1984, furnish in writing to the San Bernar-
dino County Assessor, a description of each parcel of land
within Fountain Avenue Assessment District upon which said
assessment is to be a lien and thereafter the amount of said
lien shall be collected at the same time and in the same
manner as ordinary City taxes are collected, and shall be
subject to those same penalties and interest , and to the
same procedures under foreclosure and sale in case of delin-
quency, as provided for ordinary City taxes .
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk shall deliver a
certified copy of this Resolution to the San Bernardino
County Assessor before the date fixed by law for the delivery
of the Assessment Book to the San Bernardino County Board of
Equalization.
