A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
SETTING PRIORITIES FOR FILING A WRITTEN ARGUMENT
REGARDING A CITY MEASURE
WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held in the City of Redlands on
Tuesday, March 4, 1997, at which time there will be submitted to the voters the following
measure:
"Shall Ordinance No. 2340 relating to the establishment of a tax on utility users within
the City of Redlands be adopted?"
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does
resolve, declare, determine and order as follows:
SECTION ONE: That the City Council authorizes
Swen Larson (Councilmember in favor)
Pat Gilbreath (Councilmember in favor)
Gilberto Gil (Councilmember in favor)
members of that body, to file a written argument regarding the City measure as specified
above in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 9 of the California Elections Code
and to change the argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no
arguments for or against the City measure may be submitted to the City Clerk.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of December, 1996.

resolution was duly adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd
day of December, 1996, by the following vote:
