HomeMy WebLinkAbout6279_CCv0001.pdf I RESOLUTION NO. 6279 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 9 TO SPECIFIC PLAN NO. 25 RELATING TO SIGN CRITERIA WHEREAS,the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands reviewed and recommended approval to the City Council of Amendment No. 9 to Specific Plan No. 25 relating to sign criteria after holding a public hearing on April I3, 2004, in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS,on May 7,2004,a notice of public hearing was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, on May 18, 2004, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on the proposed amendment to the Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, all provisions of the Government Code relating to the amendment of the Specific Plan have been complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1. That subsection 3.C.8.a. of Specific Plan No. 25 entitled "Wall Signs" is hereby amended as follows: "a. Wall signs - Identification signs placed on a wail shall not exceed one and one-half(I-1/2) square feet in area for each one(1) foot of lineal frontage of the building or structure the sign identifies, not to exceed one hundred and twenty (120) square feet. Separate calculations may be made for the front, side or rear of the building and a separate sign may be permitted on each of these frontages; provided, however, that the sign may only be permitted on the side of a building that is located adjacent to a public right-of-way, or vehicle and pedestrian circulation areas. 1) All signs attached to a building shall be surface mounted only.
