A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 6105 ADOPTING THE EAST VALLEY CORRIDOR SPECIFIC PLAN
(SPECIFIC PLAN NO. 40 AMENDMENT NO. 32)RELATING TO CONDITIONALLY PERMITTED
USES AND DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows:
Section 1. Specific Plan No. 40 is hereby amended by the adoption of Amendment No. 32,
as follows:
A. Section EV3.0613 of the East Valley Corridor Specific Plan is hereby amended by
the deletion of paragraph (2)restricting the location of drive-through restaurants from
any closer than 300 hundred feet from each other and the renumbering of the
subsequent subsections as (2) through (6).
B. Section EV3.0620 (i)(7) is hereby added to read as follows:
"Architectural projections such as porticos,Porte-cocheres,and pedestrian walkways
are allowed within the required front yard and street side yard setbacks upon review
and approval by the Planning Commission and/or City Council when such a
projection is deemed to aid overall project architecture or provides a beneficial
screening to drive through lanes."
C. Section EV 3.0620 (e) is hereby amended by the addition of a fourth requirement to
the setback section of the development standards to read as follows:
"(4) See Section EV 3.0620 (l) (7)for exceptions for front yard and street
side yard setbacks for unenclosed, architectural type projections
such as porticos, porte-cocheres and pedestrian walkways for drive
through restaurants and services."
D. Section EV 3.0720 (c) is hereby amended by the addition of a fourth requirement to
the setback section of the development standards to read as follows:
"(4) See Section EV 3.0620 (i) (7) for exceptions for front yard and street side
yard setbacks for unenclosed,architectural type projections such as porticos,
porte-cocheres and pedestrian walkways for drive through restaurants and
services."
E. Section EV 3.0820 (c) is hereby amended by the addition of a fourth requirement to
the setback section of the development standards to read as follows:
"(4) See Section EV 3.0620 (1) (7) for exceptions for front yard and street side
yard setbacks for unenclosed,architectural type projections such as porticos,
porte-cocheres and pedestrian walkways for drive through restaurants and
services."
F. Section EV 3.0913 (e) is hereby amended by the addition of a fourth requirement to
the setback section of the development standards to read as follows:
"(4) See Section EV 3.0520 (1) (7) for exceptions for front yard and street side
yard setbacks for unenclosed,architectural type projections such as porticos,
Porte-cocheres and pedestrian walkways for drive through restaurants and
services."
